🌟JURY INFORMATION
CLICK HERE to sign up for a jury evaluation time. All students enrolled in our ballet program (not applicable to combo classes) are required to attend a jury appointment. Read more about juries below!
At Bridgeman Academy, we utilize juries to evaluate how students are progressing and recommend their level placement for next season. This is also a great tool for students to identify their current strengths and key focuses for the remainder of this season.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
During their weekly ballet class, students will learn 9+ barre and center combinations. They will then perform these combinations in front of a panel of dance professionals. During juries, the panel will complete an evaluation form for the students to take home and will also recommend their ballet placement for next year. Juries also qualify as a student's audition for the pre-professional program.
FAQs
What happens if my child does not attend the jury evaluation?
If your child is unable to attend their jury time, they have the option to enroll in the same ballet level they are in this year or they may request a private evaluation at a different time (if available).
What if my student does not plan to enroll in ballet next year?
Students who are not planning to enroll in ballet next year are still required to attend a jury evaluation as part of the program.
What if my child trains over the summer and improves substantially between Juries and the start of next season?
Teachers may recommend promotion for a student at any point throughout the dance season. If a student has improved enough to advance to a different level, their teacher will evaluate this during their first class of the next season. If you would like your student re-evaluated before the next dance year, parents are responsible for paying for a private evaluation over the summer.
